Computer viruses and threats are a continual problem. Following are several steps to help avoid becoming a target.

• Install a copy of Symantec Antivirus Software and keep it updated. Faculty, staff and students may obtain a copy of this software at no cost through NC State's Anti-Virus Resources. You will need a valid Unity ID and password to access this site. You can use it at home too! Just be sure to read the information about managed and unmanaged scenarios.
• Be aware of network security
• Follow basic computer security guidelines and procedures.
