The accounting faculty in the College of Management have been recognized for their various outstanding achievements in teaching and research through programs such as the Board of Governor's Teaching Award, Alumni Distinguished professorships and the NC State Academy of Outstanding Teachers. In 2001, the entire Department of Accounting won NC State's prestigious Departmental Award for Teaching and Learning Excellence. Many of our faculty members have enjoyed successful careers in public accounting and industry, and serve on editorial boards of journals in accounting. Our faculty members stay current with current accounting theory, laws, and regulations through consulting, continuing professional education, and their affiliations with professional associations. Several serve on various committees of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and other national organizations.
