Research/Professional Interest

Raj Narayan specializes in the commercialization of technology and technology-based economic development programs, and serves as an executive-in-residence and advisor to the College of Management's Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (TEC) program. He is also involved with research regarding technology-based business creation and the role of universities and governments in facilitating technology-based economic development. Narayan is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. He was awarded the American Marshall Memorial Fellowship by the German Marshall Fund in 2002 and has served on the advisory boards of the World Trade Center North Carolina, the North Carolina Science Olympiad, Carolina for Kibera, and the NC State MBA Alumni Council.
