Course Title Changes in TRACS!!
Beginning with registration for Fall 2008 courses, all College of Management entrepreneurship courses will be listed with the prefix MIE. We will no longer be using the BUS prefix for entrepreneurship courses. For example, if you are looking for the course that used to be called BUS 310, you will now need to look for the course called MIE 310. There are no changes to the course content, these changes apply only to the naming of the courses.
Minor in Entrepreneurship
The Minor in Entrepreneurship was created to expose students from all over campus, in all disciplines, to entrepreneurial thinking. This thought process can be used in many life applications. Experiential learning and interaction with the business community are key elements of the courses.
The minor begins with the basics and takes continuous steps forward to accelerate the learning curve, reduce the number of mistakes that are inherent in the entrepreneurial process. Most importantly, the minor will create the opportunity for students to excel. The focus is on developing individuals who are able to apply their skills and knowledge in any way they choose.
How do I apply?
All that is required to start the Minor in Entrepreneurship is sophomore standing; no application is necessary at this time. Students will be required to fill out an application upon completion of all courses with a passing grade.
