The Board's Role in Strategy and Risk Oversight: Emerging Best Practices is intended to help boards of directors understand emerging expectations for greater oversight of strategic planning and risk management and to develop effective evaluation and monitoring techniques used to manage entity risks so that stakeholder value is protected and enhanced. This high level forum for North Carolina state-chartered bank boards of directors offers attendees a setting to interact with leading experts and fellow bank director colleagues on effective board oversight processes in light of emerging expectations for greater oversight. Sessions will closely examine audit committee best practices, tools, and techniques and the board’s involvement in strategic planning and value creation in today’s challenging economy.
