Groupwise calendar note
Message from College of Management Computing Services about the upcoing change in Daylight Savings Time
Donna Barrett, our network systems manager, recently sent a message about the impact of upcoming new time change dates. She sent the following special message to calendar users to further explain the specific impact of this.
Any entries already in place on your GroupWise calendar between the second Sunday of March and the first Sunday of April for any upcoming year will be displayed incorrectly once all patches are in place. This is also true for any entries already in place between the last Sunday of October and the first Sunday of November.
For 2007, the specific dates are March 11 through April 1, and October 28 through November 4, all inclusive.
For the ranges indicated, it is recommended that you modify the subject line of each entry and add the actual times. For example, if you have a staff meeting on the schedule for Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in the 10:30 am to noon time slot, modify it to read Staff Meeting (10:30 a.m. - 12) in the subject line. That way you will know the correct time of the meeting even if it shifts on your calendar. For additional information please contact Donna Barrett.
EPA/SPA Awards for Excellence nominations due
The college is accepting nomination letters for the annual Awards for Excellence through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2007.
This is the only annual award designed to recognize the accomplishments and achievements of permanent SPA and EPA professional staff. Nominators should submit either a printed nomination letter or a word document to Donna Barrett. For additional information please see the Awards for Excellence webpage.
