Catch the spirit: Real Deal Field Day, Thursday, April 12

Spreading the word about what the College of Management has to offer current and prospective students. That's what students in BUS 465 - Integrated Marketing Communications - have been focusing on this semester. They've discovered that there's a lot of great teaching and activity going on at the college, but not enough people know about it. They've also learned that students want more opportunities to get together with faculty and each other informally.

Many of you joined the students for the Business & Breakfast session. If you can get away from your office for a while today, stop out at the Marye Anne Fox Field for some southern-style barbecue and other food, plus some games to help you unwind. Maybe you can do a bit of jousting with one of your students! Or buy a brand-new college t-shirt designed by the students.

The 'Real Deal Field Day' takes place on Thursday, Apr. 12, at the Maryanne Fox Field. This event is co-sponsored by BUS 465 students and the College of Management Student Advisory Board (COMSAB). Read more about these activities, and read the students' blog about their semester-long project.

Students help make a difference

Research findings from BUS 465 - Integrated Marketing - have already made a difference at the college. One of their research projects focused on the college's website. The college's webmaster took the initial student research results to heart when updating the website, including more graphics and color, and streamlining the navigation. Check it out!

Click the arrows in the top photo to see more images... and check back often for new feature photos and stories. And don't forget to watch for the post-event survey that will be up later today. Read students' comments about this on their project blog.
