On Thursday morning, the college is hosting the Director and Dean from the highly regarded Indian Management Institute. If you are interested in meeting with them, please stop by the Board room from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
SCRC meeting this week
The Supply Chain Resource Consortium is holding its semi-annual meeting Thursday and Friday of this week. This year's focus is on Sustaining the Global Supply Chain. Undergraduate honors supply chain practicum students and MBAs will be reporting on their projects. ... more
EEI Business Plan Competition presentations and Leaders Building Leaders Event
Students in the undergraduate division of EEI's Business Plan Competition will present their plans Thursday, beginning at 1 p.m. at the State Club in the Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center on Centennial Campus. Those in the open division will present their plans on Tuesday, May 1, 1 p.m. Winners will be announced at the Leaders Building Leaders Event on Wednesday, May 2, 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at State Club.

Graduation Reception RSVP reminder
The college is hosting a reception on May 11 for this year's graduates ... please RSVP by May 7. Click here for the registration form and graduation ceremony details. Ronald Johnson, a senior in business management and psychology, will deliver he commencement speech during the May 12 graduation ceremony. He was quoted in a Technician story about business education.
MAC-MBA Graduation Reception and Networking May 9
Faculty are invited to the MAC-MBA Graduation Reception and Networking Event on May 9, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the State Club in the Park Alumni Center on Centennial Campus. Please RSVP by May 1.
MBA students visit Morningside of Raleigh
Last Thursday a group of six MBA students paid a visit to Morningside of Raleigh, an assisted living facility located less than a mile from the NC State campus. The event was planned by the MBA Student Association as a community outreach project. It gave students both a break from studying and a chance to socialize with senior residents in the community.

Ice cream fundraiser for Virginia Tech to be held Friday
NC State Student Government is holding an ice cream fundraiser at the Talley Student Center this Friday, April 27, as a part of a fundraiser to support Virginia Tech. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to Hokies United, a group set up to help Virginia Tech and those affected by the tragedy there. For more information, please contact Diana Douglas.
University Economic Development Forum on May 15
NC State University Chancellor James Oblinger and WakeMed Health & Hospitals President/CEO William K. Atkinson PhD invite you to attend the second annual NC State University Economic Development Forum on May 15. The program will include an update on recent achievements in the advanced medical care cluster and a discussion on future initiatives. An exhibit area will feature projects on biomedical textiles, devices and other related clusters from students, faculty, the Nonwovens Institute, the UNC-NCSU Biomedical Engineering Department and other local organizations. Join the College of Management Race for the Cure Team - Registration Deadline May 15
The College of Management has formed a team to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, to benefit breast cancer research and community outreach programs. This walk-run will take place on Saturday, June 9, at Meredith College, on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. Registration ends May 15.
All College of Management students, alumni, staff, family, and friends are encouraged to participate in the race's open recreational co-ed 5k (walk/run), which begins at 9:15 a.m. More details about a meeting place will be sent to team registrants.
You may register online. Click on ‘join an existing team’ and then type in NC State and click on ‘search for a team.’ Our team name is “NC State University, College of Management." Although this event is hosting a number of races, our team has registered for the "open recreational 5k for teams." For more information, see NC Triangle Race for the Cure, directions, and parking.
If you can't make it to the race, but would still like to contribute, register for Sleep in for the Cure™ and you will get a t-shirt. Donations are also accepted and encouraged. For your convenience, your t-shirts and bibs will be available for pickup at the MBA Program office in 2130 Nelson Hall between Monday, May 21 and Thursday, June 7th during standard work hours.
