In the Money: a Personal Finance Forum - on teaching youth about finance, Sept. 27
The college is co-sponsoring this quarterly personal finance breakfast seminar, along with Scott and Stringfellow, a BB&T subsidiary. The sessions are held at the Capital City Club. This session features a discussion about ways to help children undertand personal finance and economics. If you know of any K-12 teachers who may be interested, pass along this information. ... more
Faculty survey for possible SPSS site license
Nineteen faculty completed a brief survey about their use or interest in SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). If you are interested but didn't have a chance to indicate your interest in this software, please contact Dan Steen, 919.515.6094; 2410 Nelson Hall.

State Employees Capital Campaign now under way
Register your pledge early and have a chance at a prize. Andy Nowell (Undergraduate Programs) is the college's contact for this again this year. Pledge information has been distributed thorughout the college. Faculty and staff in the dean's office, MBA Program, Computing Services or Undergraduate Programs are asked to drop off their contribution commitment to Andy Nowel or Terry Price.
There will be weekly drawings throughout the campaign as listed in the SECC website. Names not drawn to win one of the weekly prizes will stay in the pot for future weeks. Early contributors are eligible for more prizes. The campaign concludes on Oct. 15.
