MAC Curriculum & Course Information

The MAC curriculum is designed to provide a broad-based understanding of accounting and business practices required of a professional accountant and business consultant, while at the same time offering a rigorous technical accounting education. A Managerial & Career Effectiveness Course enhances career readiness.

Students must complete 12 courses to satisfy the degree requirements.

  • Ten graduate level accounting courses - MAC Course Descriptions
  • Two MBA electives - MBA Course Descriptions
  • All non-accounting courses taken for degree credit must be at the 500 level or higher.
  • A minimum of 6 credit hours for non-accounting courses is required, a maximum of 9 is allowed.

Additional Program Offerings

In addition to courses, students are given other opportunities to enhance their educational experience and prepare for their future outside the classroom.

Several Study Abroad opportunities exist for MAC students. In past years, these opportunities ranged from a week-long overseas experience during spring break to three- and six-week immersion experiences in Prague or Vienna over the summer months.

The MAC Program offers a customized CPA Exam Review to its students. The schedule of reviews encourages students to complete all sections of the CPA Exam before full-time work begins.
