MAC Program Admissions - International Applicants
In addition to the Graduate School and MAC Application materials, international
applicants must also submit the following to The Graduate School:
- An official copy of the applicant's TOEFL scores. This is required unless the applicants has completed a minimum of one full year of full-time study in the United States
- Financial statement certifying that you can meet all costs of your graduate program
- International students WITH accounting degrees:
Students must complete three accounting classes that are considered prerequisites for the program - Business Law, Income Tax, and Auditing. Prerequisite classes must be completed before the fall semester in which you would start the MAC Program. Students are not admitted into a pre-MAC program, rather these classes can be taken at NC State as a Non-Degree Studies student or can be taken at another 4-year university.

International students WITHOUT an accounting degree:
Students are not admitted into a pre-MAC program, rather these classes can be taken at NC State as a Non-Degree Studies student or can be taken at another 4-year university.
Admission is contingent upon completion of a set of seven prerequisite courses which include accounting and other courses that are the equivalent of those required for an undergraduate degree in accounting at NC State.
