MAC Program Admissions - International Applicants

In addition to the Graduate School and MAC Application materials, international applicants must also submit the following to The Graduate School:

  • An official copy of the applicant's TOEFL scores. This is required unless the applicants has completed a minimum of one full year of full-time study in the United States

  • Financial statement certifying that you can meet all costs of your graduate program
  • International students WITH accounting degrees:

    Students must complete three accounting classes that are considered prerequisites for the program - Business Law, Income Tax, and Auditing. Prerequisite classes must be completed before the fall semester in which you would start the MAC Program. Students are not admitted into a pre-MAC program, rather these classes can be taken at NC State as a Non-Degree Studies student or can be taken at another 4-year university.

  • International students WITHOUT an accounting degree:

    Admission is contingent upon completion of a set of seven prerequisite courses which include accounting and other courses that are the equivalent of those required for an undergraduate degree in accounting at NC State.

    Students are not admitted into a pre-MAC program, rather these classes can be taken at NC State as a Non-Degree Studies student or can be taken at another 4-year university.
