CPA EXAM REVIEW TIMING
We are getting ready to finalize the timing of our review for the Audit, Regulation, and Financial sections of the CPA Exam. Please e-mail Kathy (katherine_krawczyk@ncsu.edu) with your responses to the following options for timing in the link below.
2008 Timing Questions for Students
CAKE DAY
We will be celebrating December and January birthdays on Wednesday, January 30th - 12:30 - MAC Lab. Please volunteer to bring in a dessert to celebrate - and plan on attending to eat some cake! Please email Kathy if you would like to volunteer.

MAC FOR A DAY VOLUNTEERS
We will be hosting prospective students in the middle of January for our MAC for a Day event. We need volunteers to host students. The agenda for the day includes:
- Information Session
- Tour of Nelson Hall
- Lunch with students
- Attendance in MAC class

Thursday, Jan 17, 2008: 11:00 - 1:30
Please email Kathy if you would like to be a host, the date you prefer, and the MAC class you have at 1:30 on that date.

AICPA SURVEY

NORTH CAROLINA CPA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Last spring, the North Carolina CPA Foundation awarded over $59,000 in scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to 47 qualified accounting students attending 21 different two and four-year institutions throughout our state. The Foundation hosts an interactive online application on its website at: http://csbapp.csb.uncw.edu/nccpa.
Applications open December 1st. Candidates are evaluated based on academic merit, extra curricular activities, work, and volunteer experience, and most importantly, a personal essay on the role of CPAs in society. Applications close on February 10, 2008. Additional student scholarship information is available at http://www.ncacpa.org/students
COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
The MAC Organization would like to get some feedback for some service project opportunities for Spring 2008. Shannon and Callie are the service group leaders for the organization. They have identified Relay for Life (American Cancer Society) and the Krispy Kreme Challenge (North Carolina Childrens Hospital) as possible events. Please email Shannon and Callie if you would be interested in participating in either event.
MORE TUTORS NEEDED
