FOCUS GROUPS FOR FEEDBACK

  • Wednesday, April 9
  • Monday, April 14
  • Tuesday, April 15

Our discussions will be held in confidence and feedback will be reported in an anonymous manner.

Topics we will open for discussion: curriculum, new classes, electives, CPA review course, MAC lab, career services, out of class opportunities, orientation, admissions (attracting students tot he program), etc..

This is a great way for you to tell us your thoughts related to the program. Please consider volunteering!

TEXTBOOKS FOR FUTURE STUDENTS

If you are interested in selling your textbooks to our next class of MAC students please email Andrea. Please let her know the textbook and class. She will be sending out an email to the new class and will put you in contact with interested students. Please note that not all textbooks will be used next year - Andrea will be checking with professors to see if they will be using a different version.

THANK YOU - FELLOW VOLUNTEERS

A special thank you to those that helped us with welcoming the new class of fellows last week: Kelly Barr, Grey Burnett, Stephanie Carter, Brittany Harkey, and Lauren Williams. The new students appreciated hearing from you and getting your feedback before their interviews. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules!

THANK YOU - ANN TAYLOR SHOPPERS

Thank you to all who attended the private sale at Ann Taylor this past Sunday. We would like to get your feedback about this event. Please email Kelly and let her know if we should hold the event for future students and if it would be beneficial to have it in the fall during recruiting season.

CPA EXAM REGISTRATION & REVIEW

REMINDER!! If you are planning to take the Audit section of the CPA Exam in May and the Financial and Regulation sections in July/August, it is time to register for these sections with the North Carolina State Board.

For those of you who registered for and took Business Environment in January/February, you should use a Re-Exam Application for the exam, since the State Board already has you in the system. If you haven't registered for or taken any sections of the exam yet, you need to file an initial application. You can find the forms at: http://www.cpaboard.state.nc.us/

The CPA review schedule for this summer is now posted online. Not all times have been determined, but please mark down the dates on your calendar. Questions? Please contact Andrea.

SERVICE RALEIGH

The MAC organization is planning to participate in Service Raleigh. Below is some information about the event, with a link to the website. Save the date Saturday, March 29th. More information will be sent out at a later date.

Service Raleigh is an annual citywide day of service started in 1998 by NC State's Student Government and Park Scholars. Each year, volunteers from the university and surrounding community unite to undertake a variety of projects, each of which provides much needed assistance to local organizations. Service Raleigh is funded by the Park Foundation, NCSU Student Government, and local donors. http://www.ncsu.edu/serviceraleigh/
