NC State Assistantships and Scholarships
To be considered for any of the NC State financial aid listed below, it is to your advantage to apply to the MBA Program by the January deadline. Graduate Assistantships and NC State scholarships are available to full-time students only.
Graduate Assistantships
Awarded to students showing academic promise with the ability to help with
teaching and advising in the College of Management, compensation includes full or partial tuition coverage, health insurance, and a stipend of $3,000 per semester
Requirements: Full-time student; 9+ credit hours; Outstanding academic qualifications; Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 during tenure as a graduate assistant

Tuition Remission
Covers the difference between in-state and out-of state tuition for out-of-state
students with outstanding potential (for Graduate Assistants only)
Requirements: Full-time student; Graduate Assistant; Outstanding academic qualifications; Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 during tenure as a Graduate Assistant

Duke Energy Graduate Assistantship
The most prestigious award for MBA students, this assistantship includes full tuition coverage, health insurance, and a stipend of $5,000 per semester
Requirements: Full-time student with a strong desire to excel in the field of Supply Chain Management; 9+ credit hours; Outstanding academic qualifications; Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 during tenure as a graduate assistant
Deadline: March 1, 2007

Alumni Association Graduate Fellowship Supplements
A financial incentive above and beyond other fellowships or assistantships
to recruit outstanding graduate students
Requirements: Full-time students; students are nominated by the College of Management

A financial incentive above and beyond other fellowships or assistantships to recruit outstanding graduate students
Provides an annual stipend of $3,000 for 1 year
Requirements: Full-time students; students are nominated by the College of Management

Non-NC State Scholarships
Women Students
American Business Women's Association (ABWA) Hilary A. Bufton Jr. National Scholarship
Women's scholarship in the amount of $10,000 to be used for tuition, fees, and books
Requirements: US citizens; Graduate students not earning graduate degree before May 2008 with a minimum GPA of 3.0

Minority Students
El Pueblo Scholarships
Scholarships range from $500 – $25,000
Requirements: Qualified minority MBA students must apply online.

National Black MBA Association
Scholarships range from $2,500 – $6,000
Requirements: Qualified minority MBA students must apply online.

National Society of Hispanic MBAs
Scholarships range from $2,500 to $15,000
Requirements: Applicants must be of Hispanic background and a U.S. Citizen
or a Legal Permanent Resident.

Diversity Graduate Assistance Grant
Recipients are awarded stipends based on financial need up to $4,000 for the
academic year
Requirements: Grants are awarded to underrepresented groups including, but
not limited to, Native Americans, African Americans, and Hispanic Americans.

Engineers
National Society of Professional Engineers Scholarships
$2,500 fellowship awarded to engineers pursuing advanced studies in management
Requirements: Engineer Intern (EI) or licensed Professional Engineer (PE) employed
in the practice of engineering. Must be a U.S. citizen or (for international
students) a member of NSPE.

Miscellaneous
Cooperative Education Program
Integrates academic study with related job experience. Paid work opportunities.
Requirements: Students who want experience in the workplace while earning money
for their education.
