Please remember that the e-newsletter is the MBA Program's primary method of communication with students. Therefore, it is very important for you to read and absorb the weekly e-newsletter.
Part-time Tuition Rates at RTP and Main Campus
For the first time this coming spring semester, returning part-time students may take courses on both the main and RTP campuses. Although our understanding had been that students would pay tuition based on the program (either main campus or RTP) to which they were originally admitted, we have now learned that tuition will be charged by the location of each course. So, for example, if you are registered for one course on main and on course at RTP, you will have two separate charges on your bill: the main campus course charge is billed in groupings of credit hours, the RTP campus course is billed by the credit hour.
Please refer to the attached chart for tuition/fees details. We understand that this change may cause confusion for you and for your employer. The college has raised the issue of two different tuition/fee structures and the problems it causes with university officials in hopes that these differences will be resolved in the near future.
Announcement for Part-time Students
Beginning in Spring 2008, returning Main Campus students will have the opportunity to take classes at the MBA@RTP classroom facility. One credit hour weekend classes are being offered at this facility, as well as some concentration classes. The RTP classroom facility is located at:

New One-Hour Courses for Returning Part-time Students
Beginning in spring 2008, the MBA program will offer four courses for one-credit-hour on Saturdays. For descriptions of the courses, please refer to an archived MBA Newsletter.
- They will be open to all part-time MBA students
- They do not have any prerequisites
- They will count as electives only, not toward concentration requirements
- They will be offered at the Research Triangle Park facility (Building 18 at the Park Research Center, near the intersection of Durham Freeway and Alexander Drive)
- They will be at the RTP tuition/fee rate of $551 each
- They will be graded on a pass-fail basis.

They are expecting that over 90 full time positions and 60+ internships will be hired in the next 10 month by the companies participating in the BTEC Career fair, so your chances of making the critical connection are better than ever.
Biogen-Idec, Biolex, Diosynth, Novartis, Novo Nordisk, Novozymes, Talecris and Wyeth will be attending the BTEC career fair. Having dinner with and getting to know the hiring managers and HR professionals is the best way to find a job and learn about the biotech industry.
We invite you to submit your resume to the BTEC Career Fair. Submitting your resume is the only way you may earn an invitation. Attached you will find a flyer with more information. THE DEADLINE for resumes is 12/10/07.
Your resumes will be collected and sent to these companies. The companies will then choose which students to invite. Even if you aren't selected, this is an easy way to guarantee that your resume is reviewed by the hiring managers and gets into their resume database.
If you have any interest in the biotechnology industry, you are strongly encouraged to submit your resume. There is no cost to students and dinner will be provided. The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Roundtables are a series of presentations by company leaders involved in enterprise risk management.
