Please remember that the e-newsletter is the MBA Program's primary method of communication with students. Therefore, it is very important for you to read and absorb the weekly e-newsletter.

Student ID Photos for New Students

The photos taken during orientation will be used for both your student ID card and for the online student directory. After your All-Campus student ID card is made at the Campus ID Card Office (a couple weeks), we will deliver them to your classes.

Your NCSU Email Account

Don't forget that your NC State issued email account (Unity) is where all of your MBA-related communication will sent to.

In addition, your Unity email address is the address that NC State uses for correspondence with you. Email regarding your classes, student information, eBILLs and correspondence from faculty will be sent to your Unity address. To check your Unity email, you can use Webmail or you can use an IMAP-compliant email
client.

This email requirement will overwrite any non-Unity email address you may have as your preferred email address in PackTracks. If you still want to get your university related emails at a non-NCSU address, you will need to forward your Unity email to that other address. To forward your Unity email, please visit the Unity forwarding page.

For information on how to increase your NCSU email quota:
1. Go to http://sysnews.ncsu.edu
2. Under "User Info" hit the login button and login with your Unity ID and
Password
3. Under "User Info" hit the "Quota Manager" button.
4. Adjust your allocation of space up to 300MB
5. Hit the "Submit Change Request" button. If you would like to purchase
more space, the option is available on this webpage as well.

Part-time Tuition Rates at RTP and Main Campus

For the first time this spring semester, returning part-time students may take courses on both the main and RTP campuses.  Although our understanding had been that students would pay tuition based on the program (either main campus or RTP) to which they were originally admitted, we have now learned that tuition will be charged by the location of each course.  So, for example, if you are registered for one course on main and on course at RTP, you will have two separate charges on your bill:  the main campus course charge is billed in groupings of credit hours, the RTP campus course is billed by the credit hour. 

Please refer to the attached chart for tuition/fees details.  We understand that this change may cause confusion for you and for your employer.  The college has raised the issue of two different tuition/fee structures and the problems it causes with university officials in hopes that these differences will be resolved in the near future.

National Conference for the Association for Nontraditional Students in Higher Education

The 2008 National Conference of the Association for NonTraditional Students in Higher Education (ANTSHE) will be held at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) located just 30 miles southeast of Nashville, TN.  This is a conference for non-traditional students
(also called adult learners) and the professionals who work with them in higher education institutions.  The 2008 ANTSHE Conference will take place February 29, and March 1-2, 2008.  For more information, please see: National Conference for ANTSHE

ERM Roundtables and Events

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Roundtables are a series of presentations by company leaders involved in enterprise risk management.  The ERM Roundtable series provides risk management professionals a forum where they can discuss and exchange ideas about effective ERM practices and techniques. Presentations are made by practitioners who share their best practices in working through the challenges of managing risk across the enterprise, as well as by faculty who present their related research.
