About the Part-Time MBA Program
The NC State MBA Program has a strong commitment to providing exceptional
management education to working professionals. We offer an AACSB
International-accredited, flexible evening program that features an
award-winning faculty,
innovative curriculum,
and affordable tuition.
NC State’s MBA is a specialized degree emphasizing innovation
and technology management. Our program
allows students to develop expertise in managing the development
of new products, production methods and processes, and the creation
of new ideas.
A Reputation for Excellence
Our competitive admissions process and restricted class size ensure that
students have the opportunity to interact with faculty and exchange
ideas with other outstanding business students. Working in teams with other
area professionals, students explore a variety of business issues and acquire
the skills essential to being a successful leader in a rapidly
changing global business climate.
In addition to completing core courses in the basics of management, students
select electives and specialized concentrations including
biotechnology-pharmaceuticals management, technology entrepreneurship & commercialization,
information technology management, marketing management, production
innovation management, supply chain management, and financial management.
A Program Designed for Professionals
The evening program is designed so that students can complete all coursework in three years. All courses are offered on weekdays from either 6:00 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., depending on the credit hours, and meet once per week. Classes are held in Nelson Hall on the NC State campus in Raleigh. Part-time students generally travel to campus only two nights a week for class. Professors are accessible before & after class, during breaks, and by email & phone.
Opportunities for Professional Growth
The knowledge and skills you will acquire as a part-time student can have
an immediate impact on your own work and open new doors for career advancement.
Many part-time students receive promotions from their employers and accept
new challenges with their organizations.
For students looking to make a career or company change, assistance is
available. Unlike most MBA programs, we do not restrict part-time students
from using our career services resources. Our part-time students have
complete access to our Career
Resources Center for their job search and employment counseling needs.
Unmatched Value in Management Education
For years, the Triangle region’s major employers have sent part-time
students to NC State for high-quality management education. The MBA program’s
focus is a good match for the area’s sizeable concentration of engineers,
technology workers and life scientists. When you consider the success of our
graduates combined with comparatively low tuition, our evening MBA program
offers a compelling return on investment
The NC State MBA is the only program of its kind in North Carolina. With
its technology focus and proximity to Research
Triangle Park businesses,
the program is continually growing in quality, recognition and relevance
to the workplace.
