Local Business Leaders to attend the EEI's Leaders Building Leaders Fall Event

October 9, 2006 - NC State University College of Management’s Entrepreneurship Education Initiative (EEI) will host its Leaders Building Leaders Fall Event on Nov. 9 at the Raleigh Country Club, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 pm.

This event is open to members of the local business community as well as all NC State University faculty, staff and alumni, but reservations are required, and are due by Oct. 31, 2006. For reservation details and cost information, contact Autumn Teal at the EEI office by email or by phone at 919.513.1726.

The spring 2006 Leaders Building Leaders event drew nearly 200 attendees, and that number is expected to increase for the fall 2006 event. This semi-annual event is an excellent opportunity to network with the area’s finest business leaders, students and educators. This is also an opportunity for the business community to participate in the education of the EEI’s students and experience the success the program has enjoyed.

Eric Stroud, an EEI alumnus, says that the “EEI’s Leaders Building Leaders Events are one of the best opportunities for the business community to connect with some of NC State University’s finest and most ambitious students.”

A short program for the Nov.9 event includes brief presentations by current EEI students and alumni. The keynote speaker will be Mike Noël, an alumnus of the EEI who is currently serving as estimator and project manager for John C. Sanders and Company, in preparation for development of a green construction company in Raleigh, NC.

The Entrepreneurship Education Initiative, formally established in 2000, offers NC State students from all academic disciplines a five-course academic sequence leading to a minor in entrepreneurship.

The EEI’s unique, internationally recognized model of undergraduate entrepreneurship education combines personal growth and development, experiential learning, and integration of the business community to develop students into entrepreneurial-minded men and women.
