SHRM team advances to regional HR State Games

March 21, 2007 - Both of the College of Management's SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) teams competed well at the Mar. 17 state level HR Games. They're now on their way to the regional competition, to be held in Charlotte on April 14 and 15. 

The college's Black Team earned second place against 12 teams from across the state. Members of the Black Team are Sarah Johnston, Robert Tron and Kristen Ertz [photo ID: Ertz, Tron and Johnston]. Also competing were members of the Red Team: Ryan Blinson, Jeff Skalka and Dawn Gibbons. All are business management majors with a concentration in human resources.

"Both teams did us proud," said Jodi Barnes, teaching assistant professor of business management and SHRM faculty co-advisor.

The state-level competition was hosted by Peace College this year.
