Marketing students presenting 'Chevy Super Solutions' at the Brickyard April 15
April 1, 2008 - A group of marketing students at North Carolina State University College of Management are gearing up to present “Chevy Super Solutions,” to be held at the NC State Brickyard on Tuesday, April 15, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This display of Chevrolet’s new energy-efficient vehicles includes the Tahoe Hybrid and the E85 Ethanol Malibu. Students who attend the event will have the opportunity to learn more about Chevrolet’s five alternative fuel vehicles. Food and prize giveaways will also be available.
”Everyone is invited for free food, prize giveaways and a unique, fun learning experience,” said Nichole Smoot, senior in business management and member of the student team.
This project is part of a marketing internship program provided by EdVenture Partners, which links education and industry to provide a curriculum-based partnership for business students. Participating students are enrolled in the Integrated Marketing Communications Management (BUS 465) taught by Claudia Kimbrough, instructor in the NC State College of Management. NC State is one of seven schools in the southwest participating in the program this year.
The student team members, working under the name EnviroPack, were challenged to create a marketing campaign that would position Chevrolet as the choice for industry-leading vehicles that provide solutions for today’s environmental concerns. The campaign also reaches out to students with Chevrolet’s message about its forward thinking approach that includes pursuing multiple, real-world fuel/energy solutions. Student team members will present their findings, successes and failures to representatives of Chevrolet at the end of the spring semester.
