College of Management welcomes Class of 2012

Raleigh, N.C. – July 21, 2008 - The NC State College of Management welcomed nearly 400 incoming freshmen and their parents during two orientation sessions last week.

“We are very pleased and excited to welcome the College of Management’s Class of 2012,” said Shannon Davis, associate dean for Undergraduate Programs at the college.

The two-day orientation sessions provided an overview of the college and curriculum options and information about advising, career resources, student organizations and other aspects of campus life.

A few stats about this year’s incoming freshmen class:

  • SAT of admitted students: nearly 1200
  • Top 10% of their high school graduating class: about 40%
  • Average high school GPA: 4.15
  • 60 percent men, 40% women

Staff and peer advisors assisted students in the course registration process as part of their orientation program.
