H.J. Heinz executive to present at first fall 2008 Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Roundtable program
Raleigh, N.C. – July 12, 2008 - Jim Traut, director of Enterprise Risk Management at the H. J. Heinz Company of Pittsburgh, Penn., is speaking at the Friday, October 3, 2008, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM ) Roundtable hosted by the North Carolina State University College of Management’s ERM Initiative.
The second ERM Roundtable this fall will be held Friday, November 7. Drew Zavatsky, loss prevention coordinator in the Risk Management Division of the Office of Financial Management for the State of Washington, will give a presentation and lead the discussion.
The ERM Roundtable series provides risk management professionals a forum where they can discuss and exchange ideas about effective ERM practices and techniques. Presentations are made by practitioners who share their best practices in working through the challenges of managing risk across the enterprise, as well as by faculty who discuss their related research.
This program would be of particular interest to individuals serving in risk management roles, including chief risk officers, CFOs, CEOs, COOs, general counsels, internal and external auditors, treasurers, members of boards of directors, and other risk management professionals.
Both programs will be held at the Wachovia Imax building in the Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh, N.C. Participant registration and continental breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. The program begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at 9:30 a.m., following a question-answer session with the speaker. Participants may receive 1.5 hours of CPE credit for each roundtable. There is a charge to attend, and preregistration is required. Fee and registration information are available here.
The Enterprise Risk Management Initiative at NC State College of Management serves to advance knowledge and best practices that help business leaders manage risk more effectively across the enterprise and to remain competitive. It does this through research, workshops and other professional development programs, as well as new courses in ERM for students in the Jenkins Graduate School of Management at the NC State College of Management.
