College-level assistance
College of Mangement Student Advisory Board (COMSAB)
- This organization is currently being reorganized. For assistance, contact the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs
Dean's Office
- Organizations that make arrangements for the college's dean, Ira Weiss, to speak at a student function are asked to also contact Christine Miller, administrative assistant in the dean's office, with the event details.
College Communications
- College of Management student organizations are encouraged to work with the college's Communications Office for assistance in publicizing upcoming events, to arrange for college reporting of events, and to request use of the college's logo.
- The college's new logo is now available. Contact Anna Rzewnicki, director of college communications, to request a copy and discuss review procedures.
- Organizations needing gifts for speakers and other guests, or planning to order t-shirts for their organizations, should contact Vicki Spake in the college's Development Office.
- It may be useful to check the College Events Planning Calendar when planning student organization events.
News and publicity
Following are basic guidelines for publicizing news and events at the College of Management.
- To list your organization on the College of Management's Student Organizations Directory, send a note to the College Communications Office. Include your organization name, president's name and email address; advisor's name and email address; brief description of your organization; url for your organization's website.
- Update your organization's information in the college's Student Organization Directory when the president or advisor has changed, or when you have added, relocated, or deleted a website.
- Student organizations have assigned bulletin boards, and should use these for posting notices about upcoming events and other news for walk-by traffic. Posters and notices may not be posted on other organizations' boards, nor on walls, doors, or other surfaces in the college.
- The college publishes a weekly electronic newsletter that is sent to all students each Monday. Submit items for the newsletter to the College Communications Office by email, by noon Friday for the following week's edition.
- The college submits events to the university's online events calendar. To submit your events to the calendar, send a note to the College Commmunications Office. Include:
- Event name
- Intended audience [students, college only, university wide, or general public]
- Event date, time, location
- Name, email address and phone number for contact person for the event
- Description of the event
- url to event website or attach pdf of poster [if available]
