Academic Programs

The SPI Initiative builds on the curriculum that has been offered through the college's MBA program in the areas of services and innovation management. Working with industry partners, the SPI leadership team continues to develop and update curricula in response to changing industry employment needs. They also continue to form new partnerships with faculty in NC State's College of Engineering and other university units, to further develop integrated, multidisciplinary programs. 

The SPI team is considering opportunities to extend its educational programs to undergraduate students at NC State's College of Management.

Both the services and innovation management curricula include practicum courses, providing our students opportunities to gain valuable experience and first-hand knowledge by working on real-world problems presented by our partner companies.

The public is invited to attend the students' presentation sessions at the end of each semester, to see the types of projects our students have worked with. Check the projects sections of this website for details.
