About the Concentration

The Financial Management concentration at NC State's College of Management focuses on the skills needed for careers in corporate finance and the financial services sector. Cases related to technology firms and the use of technology in organizations tie into the technology management core of the MBA program. Students interested in entrepreneurial or high-growth ventures may take finance courses to complement their technical concentrations.

What is Finance?

Students in the finance concentration focus on financial markets, the allocation of financial resources by individuals, corporations and other groups, and the tools financial managers use to make business decisions. Topics of study include financial analysis and management, investment analysis and portfolio management, banking, investment banking, insurance and risk management, personal finance, and international finance.
