Hamilton Scholars Scholarship Information
The Hamilton Scholars program is able to provide support for scholars at certain stages of their work at NC State. First priority in allocating available funds is helping scholars with the substantial expense of going abroad.
To receive aid for work or study abroad, scholars should submit the required application form [PDF] [Word] plus all relevant documentation. To be given full consideration, applicants must submit their applications by February 15 for summer or fall programs and by September 15 for spring programs. They must also have completed all steps for acceptance into the IS degree. The co-directors of the program will allocate available funds among the applicants in accordance with the following criteria:
- Grade point average
- Extent of progress through the two degrees, especially the International Studies degree
- Level of participation in the Hamilton Scholars program
- Length of proposed program abroad
Students accepting scholarship aid will be expected to complete the dual degree program (or return the funds if they do not).
