AFWA Student Mentorship Program Kickoff
The Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance Mentorship Program is open to college juniors and seniors, graduate accounting students, and AFWA members. Enrollment ends October 31st. The mentor/mentee partnership will begin on January 1, 2015, and will end at the AFWA June 2015 End of Year Dinner. Join us at the kickoff for more information about the program. Our speaker will be E.L. “Betsy” Smith, PhD – Executive Coach, Mentor, Speaker, and Author. She will be speaking on the topic of mentoring. A free pizza dinner will be provided at the event!

NC State Athletics Department Part Time Job Opening p. Business Office Assistant – Part-time p. Prefer a senior or graduate level student seeking a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business to assist the Athletics Business Office. Position requires great attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills. Interested persons should possess a proficiency in excel with the ability to create and modify reports. p. Duties will include assisting the staff in departmental budget analysis and travel analysis for the Athletic department, including monitoring, tracking, auditing, and reconciling budgets and expenditures. Assist in general accounting functions such as accounts payable and posting adjusting journal entries. Individual will assist with providing office support and other administrative duties as needed such as filing. p. Prefer individual who can dedicate approximately 15 hours per week. ACFE Foundation Scholarships
Applications are available for the ACFE Foundation Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship. Students who wish to develop their knowledge, skills and abilities associated with a fraud examination or similar path are ideal candidates. The deadline date for completed applications is February 5, 2015.

AICPA Internships p. The AICPA is seeking qualified candidates for our Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance internship program. Internships are available for Spring 2015 (January – May) and Summer 2015 (May – August) with exact dates determined upon hire. Interns will perform the duties of a typical first year employee in either the internal audit staff or security & privacy staff roles. Candidates must be able to work 30-40 hours a week with schedule flexibility available.
